The difference between us and them

Most of us spend most of our days sitting staring at a screen. The most active part of our bodies is probably our fingers on the keyboard.

Not Simon, Steve, Edwin, and a number of their friends.

At least for the last few months, they spent most of their days walking, attempting to walk from Kunming all the way to Lhasa in Tibet.

On September 3 at exactly twelve noon, Edwin reached the Potala Palace in Lhasa!

Though Simon had to cut short his trip because of health issues, he still walked 54 days.

Mr. Steve Chan acted mostly as their support team while others joined the walk during different stretches.

Has anyone done this?

Though we do not have exact proof, but we do believe that Edwin Chan is probably the first and only (so far) Hong Kong person to have gone from Kunming to Lhasa, walking every step of the way.

We are truly grateful to this team of young-old warriors for the way they put themselves out to help the elderly of Hong Kong.  Thank you, Steve, for proposing this crazy idea.  Thank you, Simon and Edwin, for persevering.  Thank you, friends and donors, for all your encouragement and support.  Now we have a lot of work to do!
