Character Success Education Programme
We have taken our Character Success Education Programme in Hong Kong and replicated it in our centres in China. Our staff in China are also training the Six Pillars of Character-- trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, caring, citizenship, and fairness--into the migrant children we serve. They are using fun games and interesting activities to help the children develop good character.
An extra twist in our centres in China is that children can earn “hope currency” for their good character. Migrant families tend to have greater basic needs for the children, such as food or stationery items. We have a monthly “Hope Supermarket” where kids can purchase such items with the “hope currency” that they have earned. They are encouraged to pick up items to help meet a family need or to share with a friend.
